Busy, Busy, Busy...Party Planning Time!

Whew!! Thank the Lord that it is Friday! It has been a long and stressful work week! I've been meaning to post for the past few days but of course, something always comes up and I have been unable to do so.Between working at the dentist office and my dad's lawnmower shop, being a mom, and trying to get to the gym 4 days a week... Life can be hectic!

Anyway, I have been planning Layla Kate's birthday party since it is only a few weeks away! I've decided to do a watermelon themed party and I think it's going to turn out so cuteeee! One of my very best friends, Lana, is helping me plan most of it because her schedule isn't quite as busy as mine during the week. Don't know what I'd do without her!

I have been looking around on Pinterest and some of the decoration ideas for this theme are adorable to say the least. I will be sure to post pictures of the party so you can see how it turned out!

Fast Forward...

It has been forever since I have blogged but I am back!

Life has changed an awful lot since my last post. Let's see... I went to school, got pregnant (again), somehow managed to finish while being a miserable whale, and now I am a Certified Dental Assistant with a great job in my hometown and another beautiful baby to add joy to my life. :)

Our family of 3 turned into a family of 4 on May 22, 2013 when we welcomed sweet Layla Kate into our lives. She is a little over a month away from turning 1 and I cannot believe it! She just started standing up on her own but is still hesitant to take those 1st wobbly baby steps.

Lilly is 3 years old now and she is FULL of attitude! There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't give me a giggle or three. 

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that Brett and I are engaged! He asked me to be his wife last Christmas and we will have our wedding in April of 2015! Yes, a long time from now but this busy mama needs all the time she can get to plan! That's what happens when you buy the carriage before the horse if you know what I mean! Haha. I am so thankful to finally be marrying my best friend even if it took him 7 years to do it! 

Well that is just a tad bit of what's been going on in my world.. I am going to try my best to post at least once a week! I love to blog because I can keep a record of my life and maybe someone else can relate to my struggles and triumphs along the way!

Tomorrow is Easter and there is no better time to say that I am blessed beyond measure thanks to our Lord and I hope you all have a very Happy Easter!

It's Been A While!

Well I know it's been a while since I have blogged but I'm back! :)

I have had a very busy couple of weeks. Lilly bug has been sick along with myself and her daddy.. and work has been busy since it's that time of year for it to start picking up! Having a sick baby is no fun at all, especially when you cannot give a 1 year old any medicine. I feel so helpless :( but she's finally getting better thank goodness! We have all passed around this cold mess that's going around.

Right now, I am at home and Lilly's taking a nap so it was a perfect time to blog! However, I am listening to an older man cuss at our washing machine in the process of doing this so it's a little hard to concentrate! He's trying to fix it since it stopped working a few days ago. Obviously he doesn't love his job. 

Anyway, the weather is getting warm down here in good ole Georgia and it is making me think of summertime! I can't wait! Last year, Lilly was only a few months old when it started getting warm so I couldn't do much outside with her but this year is going to be different. I am definitely taking her to the beach! I get excited just thinking about it. I wonder what she will think of that big ocean and the sand between her tiny toes. 

There's nothing like summer in the country. Im ready for lazy pool days, four wheeler riding, and some fishing at the river. I just want to soak up the sun as much as I can. I haven't been able to really get out much the past two summers because I was pregnant and then had a newborn the next year. Ya girl is WHITE too! Ha ha! I'm ready to get my tan on.

I could go on BUT my sweet baby is calling for me. Hopefully my next blog will be soon!

Oh yeah.. and my washing machine is fixed! You know how people say their washing machine must be eating their socks because they can't ever find them? Well, that's really what happened. That old man told me a sock was stuck in the water pump. Ha. I'm glad its fixed...I've got A LOT of laundry to do!

Lilly's 1st Year...

My life was forever changed when that little beauty came into the world. She is the center of my universe. Lilly was born January 19, 2011. She weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces. Now, a year later, she weighs 20 pounds and keeps growing by the day! The past year has been so much fun because I have been able to experience all of Lilly's first milestones and holidays. I wish I would have started blogging when she was a newborn so that I could have shared each moment with you. Since I did not do that, here is a video of her past year that I made. Just getting started...

Hey y'all. I am excited to start this blog. I've contemplated on starting one for a while now but I'm just now getting around to it. Life's been pretty hectic lately. I'm a first time mother to a beautiful one year old baby girl who just started walking and she keeps me busy! Her name is Lilly. She is my life along with her wonderful daddy, Brett. We have been together 5 years now and we're still going strong. Being first time parents, we always have some sort of excitement going on. I am mostly starting this blog as a way of sharing my life experiences but also as a way to keep a record of memories for myself.
